Mission
The mission of the department consists of preparing the graduate engineer to work within the various areas of the scope of his specialization, enabling him to excel in the science and art of formulating, designing, developing, and monitoring mechanical systems and components, and transforming energy into beneficial work. The Department trains the engineer in engineering materials, mechanics of materials, mechanical tools, industrial systems, thermal dynamics, mechanics of fluids, mechatronics, air-conditioning, water desalination, as well as skills building and expertise in design and mechanical laboratories
