KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER

One of the main objectives of the CEREM program is to enhance the transfer of technology and to have the know how ability that can be attained by:

  • Support and promote the CEREM’s interdisciplinary research activities and accomplishments.

  • Impact positively, the community's orientation to science and technology, and thereby, increase the number of Saudi’s motivated to seek science and engineering degrees at all levels, academic and other career opportunities in science and engineering research.

  • Initiate a systematic approach to stimulating intellectual exchange, technology transfer, and collaboration between CEREM researchers and relevant scientific and technical researchers in both the public and private sectors, and at other universities, with more frequency than presently exists.

In this regard, an attention will be given to maximize the benefits of CEREM's research products by transferring the technology to the user sector through various programs and demonstrative projects.

PAST EXPERIENCE

  • Through SABIC chair, the College of Engineering was able to land experts in the Polymer technology to promote the technology transfer.

  • Through several KACST and Deanship Scientific Research sponsored projects, the College of Engineering was able to transfer knowledge via KACST national publication distribution capabilities and its Kingdom-wide and regional reach.
