THE CENTER EVALUATION

GUIDELINES TO THE CENTER SUCCESS

The CEREM has adopted a number of core values that define the behaviors that the center seek to reward and recognize. The CEREM reinforces these core values to accomplish its Mission and Vision.

  1. Commitment to Personal and Scholarly Integrity – Scholarly integrity will result in high quality publications and international recognition due to the strong scientific foundation and methodology used to produce results that are reproducible.

  2. Teamwork – We are dedicated to the precept that teams produce at a level that far exceeds the sum of individual efforts due to the synergy that results from effective teamwork.

  3. Commitment to Excellence – Every aspect of the organization should be focused on exceeding the expectations of customers whether internal or external.

  4. Commitment to Personal/Professional Development –A fundamental tenant of maintaining this resource is providing opportunities for personal and professional growth through participation in training, professional associations, and other career enhancement activities.

  5. Commitment to Continuous Improvement –We will develop processes that will encourage and manage improvement on a continuous basis.

MEASURES OF THE CENTER SUCCESS

The CEREM has adopted a number of performance assessment criteria and strength measures to evaluate the center success.

 The CEREM ‘s performance assessment criteria will be:

  1. Extent to which the Center is contributing to the development of local industries.

  2. Extent to which the Center is interacting with industry clients for the purpose of providing advanced technological support and development services related to engineering materials.

  3. Extent to which the Center is advancing the global state-of-the-art technologies related to engineering materials by collaborating with - and acquiring - international expertise in the area.

  4. Extent to which the Center is Promoting advanced research and development in engineering materials via solid contributions to international publications and global conference discussions.

The CEREM strength measures will be:

  1. Number of research and their corresponding funds conducted by the center.

  2. Number of publications and patents and their quality.

  3. Number of workshops conducted by the center for the local industry.
