7th Saudi Engineering Conference
Under the patronage of HRH crown prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz, the College of Engineering at King Saud University is organizing the 7th Saudi Engineering Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 22–25 /11/1427 H (2 – 5/12/2007 G) under the theme:
"Towards Engineering Environment to Merge in a Competitive Global Economy"
The conference comes in a series of Saudi Engineering Conferences, which started in 1402 H and hosted, successively, by the engineering colleges in the Kingdom. The sixth saudi engineering conference was held at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in the 1423 H. Previously, the College of Engineering at King Saud University hosted the third saudi engineering conference in 1412 H.

CONFERENCE's PROGRAM (TOPICS)
Topics relevant to the conference include:
Engineering rehabilitation and its role in the saudization strategy
Employers views about prevailing academic engineering curriculum and the requirements of the labor market.
The role of the engineering sector toward the rationalization of resources consumption.
Role of engineering in preservation of the environment.
Saudi construction code: Why we differ from others.
The development of the engineering sector to diversify sources of national income.
Research and development to serve the industry and upgrade its services.
OBJECTIVES
The conference has evolved to provide an interdisciplinary forum among academic research workers, industrialists and professionals to exchange experiences and ideas on the challenges that face the engineering profession and engineering education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in order to cope with technical progress, industrial development, and also to derive benefits from the realm of modern information technology.
EVENTS (OR ACTIVITIES)
Conference events include lectures by invited keynote speakers, presentation of scientific research papers, panel discussions on the topics of the conference, in addition several specialized short courses and workshops are also included. An engineering exhibition will also take place concurrently with the conference.
CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS
The conference will provide an opportunity for engineers and those involved in the engineering sector through attendance and contribution of scientific papers. The following are invited to participate in the conference:
