The Department of Information Technology envisions to emerge as a center of excellence in Information Technology Education in the region and to be responsive to the needs of the community.

To prepare individuals to be skilled professionals in the IT field who have the necessary logical, analytical, technical, and communication skills to be competitive in the work place. And to raise awareness about various applications of IT that are needed in our society.

The objectives of the IT program are:

• - To provide basic education in the field of information technology through formal instruction and practical training in order to develop a real understanding of information technology and the organizational system.
• - To develop the student’s interpersonal and communication skills
• - To develop the student’s ability to work individually and as a team member,
• - To teach the fundamental skills and tools required for the desidesign, development, integration and management of information systems.
