Preface to the College
The Community College which follows King Saud University was established in Al-Dawadmi in accordance to the Cabinet resolution No. 2921/B, dated 12/4/1427H which was based on a recommendation from the Higher Economic Council. The College began receiving students in the beginning of the first semester of the academic year 1428H/1429H.
Community colleges aim at:
1. supporting the capability of the University to offer admittance to more students in provisional and qualifying programs.
2. enabling students to do undergraduate studies in provisional, efficient and highly economic programs.
3. providing a chance for students who could not pursue their study for academic purposes to obtain a degree qualifying them to get a job through joining the qualifying program at the college.
4. providing qualifying programs to support plans of qualifying and employing the Saudis.
The characteristics of studying at the College:
1. no tuition fees.
2. studying in the provisional enables students to pursue their study to obtain a bachelor degree if they complete the program successfully.
3. the possibility of transference between the provisional and the qualifying programs or changing specialization in either of the programs.
4. the possibility of studying courses which the student wishes to do in order to utilize them in different fields.
5. the specialization of the college are among the specializations needed by the labor market.
6. the college provides study plans suitable for the different needs of students with regard to duration.
