Foreign Students Affairs
Introduction:
From its leading role in the modern world, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented by the Ministry of Higher Education (MHE) offered the opportunity for foreign students from Arab, Muslim and friendly countries to get their e
ducation in local institutes including King Saud University. Accordingly, MHE has initiated special administrative office in each university exclusively to take care of International students. As a result, interested students can get full sponsorship towards all levels of higher education, Arabic language, Bachelor and higher degrees. Government of the Custodian of the two Holly mosques is offering this chance for every qualified student who would like to get serous education and all fields offered by King Saud University.
Scholarship: Is defined as: a chair for specially allocated for foreign students from outside the Kingdom.
Admission Requirements (For Arabic Language Institute):
The following requirements are applicable only for the non-Arabic speaking countries:

A letter indicating the agreement of the student's government for the student to study at KSU

High School certificate indorsed from authorities in his country.

A letter of Recommendation from a known Islamic authority (Institute, organization, ...)
-
A medical report that proves health condition of the students
-
A copy of birth certificate
-
Certificate of a good behavior and conduct
-
3 recent personal photos
-
A copy of valid passport.
Admission Requirements (BS level):
-
All requirements from Arabic Language Institute plus the following:
-
The high school certificate must be equated with the Saudi high school certificate
-
His grade in High school must not be less than 85% (or equivalent)

Application Form for BS studies (Available from the university)
All students from non-Arabic speaking countries are requested to pass the Arabic Language institute first where upon the result they can continue for the BS degree or stop at the language level. For All Arab countries, Students can directly apply for BS degree.
Requirements for Admission to MS and Ph.D. degrees:

The students must have BS degree from KSU or equivalent institute.

GPA must not be less than (Very Good)

A certified copy of his BS degree certificate

An indorsed copy of his Academic record (Course record)

2 letters of recommendation

Application form (Available from KSU)
Privileges offered by KSU to Foreign students:

The student is offered an Air ticket provided by the Saudi embassy in his country
-
Free housing is available for all accepted students
-
Financial aid as a monthly allowance equal to that offered for Saudi Students is available for all students
-
A free round trip ticket is issued at the end of every year.
-
1000 SR is gifted to every qualified student at the end of every academic year. To be qualified, and Excellent GPA is required.

One month allowance is paid every year to cover textbooks cost (Graduate students only)

3000 SR is paid one time for MS Students, and 4000 SR for Ph.D students to cover theses preparation cost

After graduation, 50Kg worth of books weight is carried freely by Saudi Airlines for up to last possible destination.

Helping students to get more financial aid from Students Treasury Administration to cover urgent needs.

New students are allowed to get loans upon arrival to solve his financial difficulties

All foreign students can get benefit from the Students Recruitment Program.

Foreign students can benefit from the discounted meals offered by all restaurants on campus.

Students who like to bring their families can apply and will find the help by the KSU foreign students office.
There is a special club for international students that can help to:
