The Department of Radiological Sciences, part of the College Of Applied Medical Sciences (CAMS), King Saud University, had been leading in equipping the Saudi health sector with qualified radiological technologists trained on various disciplines of medical imaging and in radiotherapy The department runs a B.Sc. program which aims at preparing students, both theoretically and practically, to master the necessary skills in radiological technology through training in diagnostic radiographic imaging, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, computed tomography , and in radiotherapy in order to work efficiently in hospitals and clinics alongside medical practitioners. Nearly 100 highly qualified students graduate from the department each year, ready to join in the Saudi health care market. The department will soon launch its own diagnostic imaging clinic which will provide services in the utmost professional conduct provided by trained students and closely supervised by qualified medical and technical staff.
