Dr. AlAbdulkarim from the College of Applied Medical Sciences wins at the MIT Entrepreneurship Program.
Lamya AlAbdulkarim from the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at the College of Applied Medical Sciences has won at the 2009 Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Entrepreneurship Development Program in Boston.
Also, her team was one of the winning 3 teams in the business plan out of 17 teams as judged by some of the world renowned faculty in entrepreneurship at MIT. Her team was also the only team who won both categories. Ms. AlAbdulkarim received a scholarship for the program. This MIT intensive and competitive program at the Sloan Executive Education at MIT was attended by 136 participants among them are CEO's, entrepreneurs and leaders from governmental and business organizations in the western world. The faculty and directors of the Sloan Executive Education commented that this was the best group they have had. The program covers all aspects of entrepreneurship including commercialization of technological innovations.
